NCR / CARBONLESS
NCR, meaning No Carbon Required or Carbonless.
NCR is a specially treated system of paper that reacts to the pressure of the pen transferring through the set copies “as if by magic“, without the need for carbon paper. A writing shield is required to stop any text appearing on the next set. Our forms are normally printed black ink, but other colours can be used.
NCR is supplied in 4 different formats: SETS – PADS – BOOKS – CONTINUOUS
SETS, the simplest format, whereby 2, 3 or 4 parts are glued together making individual sets and are supplied loose.
PADS are individual sets glued together into pads of say 50 or 100 sets per pad, usually attached to a greyboard back and supplied with a writing shield, either loose or integral.
BOOKS are the same as pads but will be stapled together, usually with one part remaining fast in the book, and the other parts perforated out. The book would be finished with a cover, greyboard back and tape bound spine and supplied with a writing shield, either loose or integral.
CONTINUOUS – to be used on a dot matrix printer linking up with computer software that will print the required data on to the form. Sprocket holes running down the left and right sides of the form can be removed by virtue of vertical perforations.
- Forms can be numbered and perforated
- T & Cs can be printed on reverse
- Covers can be printed
- Extra ink colours can be added
